On this tour you will immerse into this inspiring place, visiting three different neighborhoods within the Comuna and learning beyond its history directly from impressive artists who led impactful projects that managed to transform Colombia’s most feared district.
The tour starts at the highest part of the Comuna, Nuevos Conquistadores neighborhood. At this place, you can see Medellín’s rural outskirts and have a privileged view over Comuna 13 and the entire city. Descending by foot though the intricate streets of the comuna where mass tourism has not arrived, you will learn the impressive story of how hip-hop and musical culture helped local youth and led into a more peaceful context. You will understand the dimensions of the transformation as you hear the locals narrating the rough context that they had to face years before due to gang wars, paramilitary groups, and urban guerillas.

To finish off, we will walk from there to the well-know and bustling area of the comuna displaying graffities and murals depicting the story of the Comuna, and full of shops, galleries and souvenir stores. There we will see the stark contrast of the two faces of the community and get to enjoy the lively local vibe with views over the city.

In case the airline notifies us about a change of itinerary, we will act on our traveler's behalf to minimize the impact of this change on their trip. However, in some situations the alternatives offered by airlines might mean changes on the trip's agenda. In such cases, we will work together to make necessary rearrangements to minimize the impact of flight alterations on the trip's agenda and minimize/avoid extra costs.

The price quoted on this offer is valid for 10 calendar days after the delivery of the proposal. Some third-party costs and availability may vary after that period of time (specially air and hotels).
To confirm the trip, you must pay a 50% of the total price as a deposit, and 50% balance 30 days before the departure. If your departure is in less than 30 days, you must confirm your trip with 100% upfront payment.
- If the trip is canceled for reasons other than "force majeure", the following cancellation penalties* will apply:
- From 0 to 10 days before the start date of the trip, 100% cancellation penalty.
- From 11 to 21 days before the start date of the trip, 70% cancellation penalty.
- 22 -31 days before the start date of the trip, 50% cancellation penalty.
- +32 days before the start date of the trip, 15% cancellation penalty.
- *Cancellation Penalty: The percentage of the total cost of the trip that Impulse is entitled to charge in case of a cancellation. The remaining percentage will be refundable.
- If the trip is canceled due to force majeure (understood as: strict blockade in Colombia, natural disasters or border closures) 50% of the total cost of the trip will be reimbursed and the remaining 50% will be offered as a credit that can be used on any Impulse trip over the next 12 months, and can be transferred to someone else.
- Note: These are our default booking and cancellation policies. However, they can be modified to seek alignment with your booking and cancellation policies used by our international partners like travel advisors and tour operators.
